 Kenya and Tanzania Safari Holiday 8-Days

This Kenya and Tanzania Safari Holiday will take you to Masai Mara which is probably the most famous and most visited reserve in Kenya and Serengeti National Park which is Tanzania’s largest and most famous national park. It borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park and not forgetting the Ngorongoro Conservation Area which is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World, a visit to the crater is a main draw card for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction.

 

Day 1: Arrival Nairobi & Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

You will be met upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to Lake Nakuru National park. The park is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you may find white rhino at the southern end.

The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Arrive in time for your hot lunch at Chester Hotel. Enjoy your Evening game drive at Nakuru National Park. Full board accommodation included in the tour price. Dinner and overnight at Chester Hotel Nakuru

Day 2: Transfer from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart after your morning breakfast for Lake Nakuru National Park via Lake Naivasha. Game viewing is either done in the early morning hours or in the evening as this is when we have the best chances of seeing animals. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment while sipping on a sun downers back at your lodge. You will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, impala, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October.

Day 3: Full Day game drive to Masai Mara National Park

Enjoy your full day of game drive at Masai Mara Game Reserve. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but are still reasonably common. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October. Day 4: Transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park

Transfer after your morning breakfast for Serengeti National Park. This will take up to 8 hours of driving through rough road. Serengeti National Park is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park.

Its far-reaching plains of endless grass, tinged with the twisted shadows of acacia trees, have made it the quintessential image of a wild and untarnished Africa. Its large stone kopjes are home to rich ecosystems, and the sheer magnitude and scale of life that the plains support is staggering. Enjoy your en route game drive at Serengeti National Park. Day 5: Full Day game drive in Serengeti National Park

This morning’s African adventure begins with an exploratory game drive through Tanzania’s oldest and most recognized National Park, the Serengeti. This location offers the most expansive game viewing in Tanzania. Spend today searching out Impala, one of Africa’s most beautiful and graceful animals. Previously thought to be part of the gazelle tribe, Impalas have been found to be so different that they are now classified as their own sub-family status. Leopards, cheetah, lions and wild dogs prey on impala.

Day 6: Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Depart after your morning breakfast with your picnic lunch boxes via the Olduvai Gorge where it is believed the cradle of mankind began. There after transferred to Ngorongoro Crater which is often called Africa’s Eden and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World, a visit to the crater is a main draw card for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction.

Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Just outside the crater’s ridge, tall Masaai herd their cattle and goats over green pastures through the highland slopes, living alongside the wildlife as they have for centuries. You will be transferred to your lodge. Descend to the rim of the crater for your game viewing.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Craters to Arusha and Fly to Zanzibar stone Town

Depart after your morning breakfast after breakfast in the lodge we take you to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Transfer to the Zanzibar Serena Hotel. All meals included.

Stone Town and Spice Tour.

On one of your beach days you will go on a guided tour.

After breakfast transfer to Stone Town for our Historical Stone Town Tour. This tour takes you through fabled Stone Town, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People’s Palace) and the Arab Fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques!

Kenya and Tanzania Safari Holiday, Afterwards you proceed to the famous Spice Plantations were we invite for an opulent lunch for you to taste the spices and fruits. Afterwards you will do the famous Spice Tour. We have developed a special Spice Tour with in depth information not only about spices, but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description about their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking. After the tour we take you back to your hotel.

Day 8: Depart Zanzibar flight back Home
