Payment, deposits & cancellations

How Mwanzo Tours handles your safari deposit, balance, permits, and cancellations, plain language for European travellers.

How booking works

  1. You enquire via our form or email, we reply within 1 business day.
  2. We send a written quote naming lodges, permit inclusion, and total price in USD or EUR.
  3. Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of the 40% deposit.
  4. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before departure.
  5. All payments are non-refundable once gorilla permits are purchased.

Where your money goes

  • Uganda Wildlife Authority, gorilla/chimp permits purchased in your name once deposit clears.
  • Lodges, confirmed only after deposit; names listed in your quote.
  • Serah Foundation, a contribution from every Mwanzo booking supports registered CBO work in central Uganda.

Cancellation

More than 60 days before departure: the 40% deposit is non-refundable. 59 to 30 days before departure: 70% of the total cost is charged. 29 days or less before departure: 100% of the total cost is charged. Gorilla permits: once purchased, gorilla permits are 100% non-refundable, but they can be rescheduled according to availability. See booking terms.
