• Booking: passport details, dietary/medical requirements, emergency contact, payment references
• Communications: WhatsApp, email correspondence
• Website: essential cookies (consent preference stored locally in your browser)

We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

3. Why we use your data

• Respond to safari enquiries and prepare quotations
• Process bookings, permits, and lodge reservations
• Ensure your safety during travel (emergency contact, medical notes)
• Meet legal obligations (tourism licensing, tax records)
• Share impact stories with your consent (testimonials, photos)

Legal basis (GDPR): contract performance, legitimate interest (responding to enquiries), and consent (marketing/testimonials).

4. How long we keep data

Enquiry data: 24 months if no booking is made. Booking records: 7 years for accounting and permit compliance. You may request deletion earlier where no legal retention applies.

• Lodges, Uganda Wildlife Authority (permits), AMREF (evacuation membership)
• FormSubmit.co (enquiry form delivery to our email)
• Payment processors (when you pay — details provided at booking stage)

Data may be processed in Uganda and the EU. We use providers with appropriate safeguards.

6. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing. Contact info@mwanzotoursuganda.com. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Cookies & analytics

We store one essential item in your browser (local storage) to remember your cookie consent choice.

If you click Accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 may set cookies such as _ga. We enable IP anonymisation. You can withdraw consent by clearing site data in your browser or choosing “Essential only” on a fresh visit (clear local storage for this site).

We do not load analytics unless you accept. “Essential only” means no GA4 cookies.
