Mwanzo Tours welcomes conscious German travelers who want more than a generic safari catalogue. Solo, couples & groups welcome. Locally born guides. Every journey supports the Serah Project. Plan with Hanna Lukács in Europe — experience Uganda with Anthony and his team on the ground.
Why Uganda
Germany has a strong tradition of conscious, well-researched travel — and Uganda rewards that mindset. Where Rwanda's gorilla permit costs $1,500, Uganda's standard permit is $800 (peak) or $600 in April, May, and November. For most German travelers, that difference makes a longer, richer itinerary possible: chimps in Kibale, lions in Queen Elizabeth, Murchison Falls, and time with communities that genuinely benefit from your visit.
Uganda is not the fastest gorilla trip in East Africa. It is the one you remember for the rest of your life.
Ein anderer Ansatz
Several excellent Uganda operators serve the German-speaking market with German founders, German-speaking guides, and tailor-made itineraries. Many offer broad East Africa catalogues — Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, beach add-ons — with transparent pricing and strong community tourism credentials.
Mwanzo is for travelers who want something more focused: Uganda-first, four signature experiences, a visitable Serah Project, and a direct Anthony + Hanna Lukács bridge — without choosing from a wall of identical trip titles.
Why Mwanzo
Anthony grew up in Uganda. He knows the forests, the lodges, the guides, and the communities — because they are his. Hanna Lukács, co-founder in Europe, brings the planning clarity German travelers expect: clear quotes in EUR, honest inclusions, fast replies, and no hidden surprises.
We are not a European reseller who has never set foot in Bwindi. We are not a Kampala call centre with a WordPress template. We are Mwanzo — The Beginning — and every booking supports children at the Serah Project.

For peak season (June–September, December–February, especially July–August Sommerferien): 4–6 months. Christmas/New Year: up to 12 months. Low season (April, May, November): 1–3 months is often sufficient. Gorilla permits are limited — we secure them on your behalf once you confirm.
Several operators serve Germany well with German-speaking guides and broad East Africa catalogues. Mwanzo is Uganda-first: four curated flagships, tailored to solo travelers and couples, a visitable Serah Project partnership, and co-founders Anthony (Uganda) and Hanna Lukács (Europe). We offer depth and a named impact story — not a dropdown of fourteen similar packages.
