Safari packages: questions
How much do Uganda safari packages cost?
Our package prices are from-prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room, and exclude international flights. Your final quote depends on your travel dates, lodge choice, group size and permits. The gorilla permit is $800 per person, or $600 in April, May and November 2027, and the chimpanzee permit is $300.
Which Uganda safari package should I choose?
Choose by time and interest. Short 3-day trips focus on gorillas in Bwindi, 4-day trips add chimpanzees in Kibale, and 8 to 14 day safaris add game drives in parks such as Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls. Every itinerary can be tailored to your dates, fitness and lodge preference, so treat each route as a starting template.
How do I book a safari package?
A 30% deposit confirms your booking, and the balance is due 60 days before departure. Once the deposit clears, we buy your Uganda Wildlife Authority permits in your name. Is travel insurance included in the packages?
No. Travel insurance is not included in our quotes, so please arrange your own cover before you travel, ideally including medical evacuation. Our from-prices are per person on 2 sharing and exclude international flights. We list exactly what is included and excluded in your written quote, so you can compare like for like.
Is Mwanzo Tours a licensed tour operator?
Yes. Mwanzo Tours Uganda is licensed by the Uganda Tourism Board, licence UTB/RTT/TT/2023/100873, and permits are bought in your name through Uganda Wildlife Authority.
